The Hard Drive Coffee Table is built from an original 26 inch diameter hard drive platter from an early storage device circa 1950s or 1960s.
A solid aluminum cylinder, measuring 5 9/10 inches in diameter and 18 1/2 inches in length, serves as the table pedestal. Four bolts are screwed into tapped holes in the top of the pedestal in order to secure the hard drive platter. The bottom of the pedestal is press-fit into the base, which measures 12 inches in diameter and 1 3/4 inches high. The table is covered with standard 1/4 inch glass. The completed design measures 19 1/2 inches high and weighs 64 pounds.
